What is the difference between a deodorant and antiperspirant?

A deodorant masks odor either through the use of antimicrobial ingredients that help neutralize odor-causing bacteria or with a fragrance to cover up odor.

An antiperspirant blocks the sweat gland through the use of an aluminum or zirconium. By cutting down on the amount the body sweats, odor is reduced; however, the plug that the sweat-blocking ingredients make, is broken down overtime so, reapplication is required.

Sweating is the body's way of eliminating toxins and regulating temperature. And deodorants do not interfere with this process. We believe that the body should be allowed to do it’s natural thing (aka, sweat – which regulates your body temperature) so we formulated our deodorant to mask odor with antimicrobial ingredients.
