This is an oil, so it definitely has a heavier consistency when compared to water-based products. However, when compared to other oils on the market, this oil is very lightweight, and absorbs into the skin very quickly. A little goes a long way to make your skin and hair feel nourished, moisturized, and shiny.
Our Hair & Body oil has not been tested for heat protection, but our base oils, safflower oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and jojoba oil, have heat protecting properties.
If you did wish to get heat protection benefits it would require you to fully coat your hair root to tip. We find most customers prioritize our nourishing Hair & Body oil at their tips with less focus on the scalp when used for daily styling.
Our vegan keratin is a vegan sustainable hydrolyzed keratin alternative made from chickpea, lentil, and quinoa proteins that mimic the amino acid composition of hydrolyzed animal keratin.
Hydrolyzed keratin is conventionally prepared from animal parts like feathers, hair, and wool. Keratin is a basic building block of the complex morphological structure of hair and essential for hair fortification and reparation.
